The ecadets have been continuing part of their first task today, they started to create their Safe Profile Posters. They’ve got some great top tips for you about what makes a good, safe profile – keep an eye out on our blog page to see the end results they’ll be coming soon!
We are so immensely proud of our eCadets today as they carried out our Digital Footprint advice and learning not only to the whole school but our parents too. Well done eCadets!! You can see our video in the blog post below….
Our eCadets extended their learning about what a Digital Footrprint is, so they could be confident in their knowledge and be in a better position to advise and assist their peers. See this video and let us know what you think….
Is Social Media really the place to have an argument? Think about your Digital Footprint. Once there, ALWAYS there, once seen & shared you cannot take it back. How will you be judged by it in the future? Employers, or even college and universities, when receiving an application from you, may look you up on Social Media to gain an idea of your personality. Is a messy argument a side of you that you want everyone to see? Think about it!!
Click on the link to look at this argument and think about what it tells you about each person.
Look at the FB argument above. What do you think of the people involved?
Write a post for each person:
Write the person’s name
Tell us what their personality traits are
Tell us what evidence/reason you have think that
SUCCESS!! – following the above exercise our learners concluded that Millie isn’t a nice person and causes arguments, Rosie is good as she tries to stop the argument being aired over FB and Louise is the victim and must be feeling bad because everyone will now know her business….
On asking if these 3 people applied for a job at our school and if they were Miss Dring our Headteacher who had seen this on FB. Who would they invite for an interview, all said Rosie and Louise, because Rosie is the nicest person and Louise is the victim but isn’t as nice as Rosie. Concluding that they wouldn’t want Millie working here, because she seems to be a trouble maker.
